What do we do when our fashion icons cease to be icons?  Poor Jessica Simpson, she’s been taking a whole lot of flack lately.  There’s the whole Tony Romo thing, with people insisting that she’s practically ruined the whole Cowboys football team; her ensuing fued with … one of the dozens of blond American Idol girls; that horrible debacle involving the Mom Jeans; and, of course, her recent, rabid weight fluctuations.  Plus this little outfit here, with the ripped up Daisy Dukes vs. the billowing shirt — a look popular with slightly chubby high school girls but no one else, really.  So, what do we do?  Well, we make fun of her of course — but we also concede that at least she’s still the same jewelry diva we’ve always known and loved.  Chicken of the Sea, anyone?
